Project Christmas 2023 was a groundbreaking year in assisting families, with a record number of 30+ families receiving support during the holiday season. Let's unwrap some of the magic!
While Project Christmas started in 2018, this marked the first year we involved local businesses in aiding Project Christmas families, witnessing the community unite in a remarkable manner. The experience was incredibly rewarding!This year's deliveries were extraordinary, resembling a true Christmas miracle. The day commenced early with emotional moments of strangers embracing and shedding tears as we unloaded an abundance of gifts. Our team of volunteers, or elves, continued the deliveries throughout the day, leaving both volunteers and sponsored families overwhelmed in the best way. The day was filled with shared stories, long hugs, infectious laughter, and endless smiles.Families expressed their gratitude through handwritten notes, drawings, and colorful messages, warming our hearts. One message that resonated deeply was, "On the coldest day of the year, I've never felt warmer in my life. Thank you for the amazing winter jacket." This encapsulates the spirit of Christmas for our team. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the project in any capacity.
